Biography

Sumith Yesudasan, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of New Haven and Principal Investigator of the MELT Laboratory. His research focuses on molecular and multiscale computational modeling, interfacial water and phase-change transport, nanoscale heat transfer, and biomolecular assembly and clot mechanics.

His path into research grew from an early interest in engineering and programming, followed by industrial engineering experience at General Electric and Delphi Automotive. He later transitioned into academic research, earning a doctoral degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and continuing work in teaching, research, and student mentorship.
